For the past two months, Jesse LaPoint has worked at Nichols Supermarket and has been bored out of his mind ever since.

The 20 year old toils away with fellow co-workers at the back of the store in the bakery department, cutting dough, sorting muffins, preparing donuts and trying not to fall asleep during his downtime.

Out of boredom, he quickly became the department jokester, entertaining and laughing alongside other employees.

The younger workers around the store find ways to entertain themselves while mentally making it through their temporary part-time jobs.

LaPoint hopes to attend college and become a veterinarian’s assistant once he earns enough money to make it on his own.

For now, LaPoint works at Nichols grocery store to “make it through” and pay for everyday expenses.
